Wood Valley

Perched above Sonoma Valley, we created a landscape to extend the linear design of the architecture out into the site. Patio spaces link each interior room to the land, creating a strong indoor/outdoor relationship. Placing the pool to pick up the clean lines of the building, the rhythm of the colonnade is amplified above the contrasting rocky slope below. We featured the large boulder outcrop as a hallmark of this dramatic site.
