Larissa Kurtz
Landscape Designer

Larissa grew up in Ohio, where she spent much of her time exploring the woods and observing local wildlife. These early experiences sparked a lasting interest in connecting people to nature while respecting existing plant and animal communities.

Her interest in landscape architecture began after visiting the High Line in New York City, where she was inspired by the potential to repurpose infrastructure and bring vibrant green spaces to urban communities.

While pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Larissa developed a deep appreciation for California’s diverse geography. Her focus shifted toward protecting sensitive ecosystems and creating sustainable, site-responsive designs.

As a designer, Larissa is detail-oriented and enjoys exploring expressive forms that reflect the natural beauty of each site. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her dog, Myko, and traveling with her family.
