Jennifer Luks Perarnaud, LA
Senior Landscape Architect
Jennifer Luks Perarnaud joined Arterra in 2015. She received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Arkansas in 2000, becoming a licensed Landscape Architect in 2007.
Jennifer developed a green thumb at an early age helping her grandfather tend to his greenhouse full of tomatoes. While they pruned and pollinated, her grandfather filled her imagination with stories of growing up in Croatia and traveling throughout Europe. She studied history at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and developed an interest in landscape architecture after spending her senior year abroad in Germany. She considers the global built environment a constant source of inspiration and attended the Japanese Garden Seminar in Kyoto, Japan, in 2008.
Her work has encompassed a variety of project types and scales from high-end residential estates, to universities, rooftop gardens and urban design projects. Jennifer enjoys the collaborative design process and working with clients, design teams and contractors. She sees every new project as a blank canvas, relying on the uniqueness of the site and client to inform the project program. Every location and person has a history and a story to tell. Jennifer strives to bring these stories to life and receives the upmost satisfaction seeing this come alive during construction.
Jennifer enjoys art, yoga, hiking and travel. When not in the office she enjoys taking advantage of the beautiful California weather and scenery. She lives in Marin County with her husband, 2-year-old son and their dog, Sydney.
